Admission Policy

The goal of the Graduate School of Global Arts is to train individuals who
propose new relationships between the arts and society while linking, in
integrated and organic ways, various modes of art and cultural practice in
response to trends toward a global society and accompanying changes in the
arts and society.

Based on this educational philosophy, the Graduate School seeks students who possess the knowledge and creativity that will enable them to play active roles in their fields of research at a global level, as well as practical skills and the capacity to apply themselves diligently in their studies.

Note: Applicants can only apply to join one of the three core postgraduate programs listed above.


2. Key Dates for Applications and Examinations to Enrol in April 2019.

Master’s course: Mid-July to mid-September 2018.
Successful applicants will be notified in early October.

Ph.D.’s Course: Early December 2018 to mid-February 2019.
Successful applicants will be notified in late February.

4. Introduction Session for the Global Arts Course

In 2018, there will be an introduction session for students hoping to enter the course. At the information session the faculty staff for each of the core programs will offer a main outline of the program and explain more about the entrance examination. This will be followed by a question and answer session. The meeting is scheduled for mid June. Further details concerning the information session will be available in the news topics section of the GA website.


5. Visiting us

During the course, lectures will be held that are open to the public. Any visitors who are interested in these events are welcome to attend. Information regarding these events will be announced on the GA website and on posters/flyers, before each public event.
