Her Prerogative: women and/in self-portraits
Group show, curator Stephen Sarrazin

“Consciousness of exclusion through naming is acute. Identities seem contradictory, partial, and strategic.

It matters what matters we use to think other matters with; it matters what stories we tell to tell other stories with; it matters what knots knot knots, what thoughts think thoughts, what descriptions describe descriptions, what ties tie ties. It matters what stories make worlds, what worlds make stories.”

Donna Haraway

A group show curated by Stephen Sarrazin  that brings together artists from North and South America, Asia, Europe, and North Africa in which are addressed issues of self-representation in modes that range from documentation to parody, celebration to menace and denunciation, domesticity to nomadism.
