Le Balcon: Playing with the Spirits of Time and Space

From October 21 to 24, 2025, the Exhibition Room at University Hall, Tokyo University of the Arts (Ueno Campus), will open its doors to Le Balcon: Playing with the Spirits of Time and Space, presented as part of Avec Le Balcon (ALB) project.

This exhibition presents the Paris-based artistic collective Le Balcon, whose work continuously metamorphoses the boundaries between classical music and interdisciplinary production, daring to reimagine what has yet to be imagined. Following their special lecture at Tokyo University of the Arts on November 10, 2025, the exhibition presents a selection of video works and documentation about the collective’s previous works, extending the conversation begun in that lecture room. 

We warmly invite students, faculty, and visitors from all disciplines at Tokyo University of the Arts to visit this space, linger, and let the spirits of Le Balcon guide their reflections, on creation, collaboration, and the unseen boundaries classical music can cross.
