Bubble Chamber

Solo show by Pierre Sérot
Exhibition Period l 2025/08/01~04, opening party on the first day 6-9PM // Friday to Monday 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
In Bubble Chamber, Pierre Sérot explores how predictions shape timelines—how foresight transforms the future into a present probability. Predictions often rely on the idea of revolution: the cyclical return of events. By analyzing the past, we attempt to foresee the future, altering our actions in the present.
In 1999, Tatsuki Ryo published Watashi ga Mita Mirai, a manga documenting her prophetic dreams. Many came true: the March 2011 earthquake, a global virus in 2020, and more. Her credibility grew. In 2021, she predicted a major catastrophe on July 5, 2025. A well-known Okinawan shaman instead foresees it on July 15. Scientists, in turn, insist that such events cannot be predicted.
Over the past four months, Pierre Sérot has worked on the tension between narrative, belief, and science—a tension rooted in competing truths, those of the past and those yet to come.
