Title: Immersion, Immediacy, and Intelligence: Embodiment of Innovative Technology and Artistic Practice in Techno-Art Creations

Abstract: The contemporary techno-art scene represents a unique fusion of advanced technological innovation and deeply rooted cultural aesthetics, having undergone three distinct stages of development—typological introduction, interdisciplinary practice, and experimental technology. Today, advancements in virtual technology, remote connectivity, and intelligent agents have completely transformed the landscape of techno-art. The quest for immersive aesthetics in virtual art has facilitated artistic participation that integrates experiences across both physical and virtual realms. The demand for high-speed remote connectivity has enabled the presentation of artistic experiences through collaborative co-performance strategies conducted from a distance. Additionally, the integration of artificial intelligence has further stimulated the exploration of critical issues such as creative expression and subjectivity. How can we employ relevant media theories to evaluate, understand, and critically reflect on these developments? This talk will discuss how techno-artists utilize immersion, immediacy, and artificial intelligence to create interdisciplinary artistic experiences that blur the boundaries between digital technology and artistic expression.
